KATHMANDU: The Nepal Army (NA) has announced that the ongoing prohibitory order and curfew will remain in force nationwide.
According to the NA, the prohibitory order will remain in effect until 5 pm on Wednesday and curfew will follow till 6 am on Thursday.
“Even in the name of protests, various anarchic individuals and groups are infiltrating and engaging in activities such as vandalizing and setting fire to private and public property, looting, targeted violent assaults and even attempted sexual violence. Considering the overall peace and security situation of the country, the prohibitory order currently in place will remain nationwide until 5 pm on Wednesday, followed by a curfew order until 6 am on Thursday,” the Directorate of Public Relations of the NA said on Wednesday.
Further information will be communicated based on the assessment of the situation, it added.
