POKHARA: Protesters have set fire to several government offices in Pokhara.
District Administration Office and the Land Revenue Office at Sahid Chowk, as well as the Provincial Policy and Planning Commission and the Office of the Provincial Chief, are among the government offices targeted by protesters.
Officials say the situation has gone beyond the control of security personnel.
Protesters also set fire to the Ward 5 Office in Malepatan. Earlier in the morning, they had torched the Pokhara Metropolitan City Office in New Road.
In addition, the house of the Minister for Social Development, Youth and Sports of Gandaki Province, Bindu Kumar Thapa, in New Bazaar, was also set ablaze. His brother Dhruba Thapa’s home was also not spared.
