KATHMANDU: Two people were killed after being shot by police in Itahari on Sunday.
The incident occurred in front of the Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City office during the nationwide GenZ protest.
Both victims died while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan.
The identity of the victims has not been released.
Police opened fire after demonstrators marched to the Area Police Office following incidents of arson in the sub-metropolis.
Eyewitnesses said one deceased received bullet in the chest and another in the neck.
