KATHMANDU: The Federal Civil Service Bill has been endorsed by the Legislative Management Committee of the National Assembly.
The committee passed the report on Tuesday following deliberations on the draft. The report will be tabled in the National Assembly later today once it is finalized by the subcommittee and signed by the committee chairperson and secretary.
The committee agreed to set the mandatory retirement age for civil servants at 58 years in the current fiscal year, 59 years in the next fiscal year and 60 years thereafter.
The Bill, which was endorsed by the House of Representatives on June 29, must be passed by the National Assembly within two months as per the constitution.
