KATHMANDU: BAS Nepal has decided to organize the final of the ‘Public Speech Nepal, 2025’ in Kathmandu, aiming to enhance young people’s public speaking skills, inspire confidence in oratory, and encourage champions of public speech.
BAS Nepal, a non-governmental organization, has been conducting the event nationwide since last year. Earlier, it used to organize district-level contests.
The competition will have three stages — auditions, semi-finals and a final round. Interested participants must register by August 26 and submit a video of their speech by August 29. The semi-final will be held on September 5 and the final in Kathmandu on September 14.
The winner will receive a cash prize of Rs 50,000, while the first and second runners-up will take home Rs 30,000 and Rs 20,000, respectively.
Dil Bahadur Bhandari of Dailekh won the competition last year.
