CPN (Maoist Center) Chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal
KATHMANDU: CPN (Maoist Centre) Chairperson and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli should be investigated over alleged interference in the cooling-off period provision in the Federal Civil Service Bill.
Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Saturday, Dahal accused the CPN-UML of acting with ill intent during the passage of the Federal Civil Service Bill from the House of Representatives and insisted that the matter necessitates a probe into the Prime Minister’s role.
Dahal said that the UML revealed its true intentions in the entire episode. “Amendment proposals on the provision registered by UML lawmakers in the National Assembly confirmed the suspicions previously raised by the Maoist Center,” he added.
He also said that both coalition partners, the Nepali Congress (NC) and the UML, are facing a vacuum in ideological leadership. Dahal claimed that the Maoist Center is currently the only party that is not experiencing an ideological or political crisis.
