KATHMANDU: Dr Sujan Kadariya has been elected Chairperson of the All Nepal National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), the student wing of the ruling CPN-UML.
Dr Kadariya edged out his only competitor, Prakash Gautam, by seven votes. While Dr Kadariya received 732 votes, Gautam secured 725.
The 24th General Convention of the ANNFSU also elected Bikash Shrestha and Anjana Shiwakoti as Vice Chairpersons, while Deepak Dhami was elected as General Secretary.
Likewise, Kamal Joshi has been elected as Deputy General Secretary, and Akash Gharti, Rachana Sapkota, Gopal Nepal, and Sabim Babu Khan as Secretaries.
Prakash Bista, Suman Ghimire and Jit Prasad Sitaula have been elected as heads of various commissions.
