RPP lawmaker Singh detained Deepak Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepal Police have detained Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) lawmaker Deepak Singh for alleged misconduct.

SP Apil Raj Bohara, the spokesperson for the District Police Range, Kathmandu, said Singh was taken into custody due to his inappropriate behavior. “We had to arrest him as he misbehaved at the police office and also made reckless statements,” Bohara said.

Singh had reached the District Police Range, Kathmandu, to meet RPP Nepal Chairperson Kamal Thapa who was detained on Sunday afternoon.

RPP spokesperson Mohan Shrestha confirmed that Singh was arrested while trying to meet Thapa.
