KATHMANDU: The Joint People’s Movement Coordination Committee for the Restoration of the Monarchy organized a demonstration in Kathmandu on Friday as well.
Pro-monarchy supporters gathered at Maitighar Mandala and changed slogans demanding the restoration of the monarchy.
The committee started its indefinite protest in Kathmandu on Thursday.
Officials of the committee say their protest is aimed at reconnecting the unity between the king and the people and protecting Nepal’s authentic identity based on Sanatan Dharma, culture and traditions.
Pro-monarchy parties like Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and RPP Nepal have supported the movement.
