KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has published counting results in 156 out of 165 constituencies of the House of Representatives.
The vote count is underway in six constituencies, while counting has not begun in Bajura, Dolakha and Syangja-2 constituencies due to vote-rigging allegations.
As per the latest update, the five-party ruling coalition is ahead winning 85 seats. NC has won 53 seats, while CPN (Maoist Center) has taken 17 seats. Likewise, CPN (Unified Socialist), Loktantrik Samajbadi Party (LSP) and Rastriya Jana Morcha (RJM) have won 10, 4, and 1 seats, respectively.
CPN-UML has won 41 seats and is leading the count in two constituencies. Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) and newly-formed Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has won seven seats each, while Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) and Nagarik Unmukti Party have won six.
Similarly, Nepal Worker and Peasants Party, Janamat Party and RJM have won one each.
