KATHMANDU: Newly-appointed Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Raghuji Pant, was sworn in on Thursday.
President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Pant during a ceremony at the Office of the President on Thursday afternoon.
Vice President Ramsahay Prasad Yadav, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, Speaker Devraj Ghimire and National Assembly Chairperson Narayan Dahal, among others, attended the ceremony.
President Paudel had appointed Pant to the position on Wednesday on the recommendation of Prime Minister Oli.
The position had become vacant following the resignation of Bidya Bhattarai on Monday.
