KATHMANDU: Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon, a FIFA World Cup winner, arrived in Nepal on Sunday. The former Italy captain is in Nepal to attend the final match of the KP Oli Cup football tournament.
Officials of the Democratic National Youth Federation Nepal, the organizers of the tournament, and National Sports Council welcomed Buffon upon his arrival in Kathmandu.
Buffon played in five consecutive World Cups from 1998 to 2014, winning the title in 2006. He has also won 10 Italian league titles with Juventus and one French league title with Paris Saint-Germain.
