KATHMANDU: Nepal Samajbadi Party (Naya Shakti) has elected a new 99-member executive committee with Dr Baburam Bhattarai as Chairperson.
Ishwar Rijal, Tek Bahadur Batha Magar and Umesh Sah have been elected as Vice Chairperson from Khas/Arya, Indigenous Nationalities and Madheshi/Tharu clusters, respectively.
Manushi Yami Bhattarai and Durga Sob were earlier elected Vice Chairperson unopposed from Women and Dalit clusters, respectively.
Similarly, Sonam Singh Syangtang has been elected as General Secretary, while Asha Kumari Tamang, Bharat Raj Dahal and Laxmak Kari (Sandesh) have been elected as secretaries from women and open clusters, respectively.
Likewise, Hari Prasad Rijal has been unanimously elected as Treasurer.
The executive committee has 88 central committee members elected from different clusters like provinces, overseas, women, youth, Khas/Arya, Khas/Arya Women, Khas/Arya Youth, Khas/Arya Youth Women, Indigenous Nationalities, Madhesh, Dalit, Tharu, Muslim/Minorities.
Nine executive committee members will be nominated later on.
