KATHMANDU: A contempt of court case has been filed in the Supreme Court against Senior Advocate Dinesh Tripathi.
Dil Bahadur Rai registered filed the case on Friday, seeking action against Tripathi for his comments about the judges.
Tripathi had questioned the competence of and criticized Kaski District Judge Nitij Rai and Kathmandu District Judge Madhav Prasad Adhikari for releasing Rabi Lamichhane on bail in separate cooperative fraud cases.
Judges had also issued a statement on Thursday expressing objection to Tripathi’s remarks.
Tripathi had argued against Lamichhane in Kathmandu and Kaski.
