KATHMANDU: Opposition parties in Parliament have concluded that the government was showing arbitrary behavior in recent days.
A meeting of the leaders of the opposition parties held in Kathmandu on Wednesday expressed commitment to oppose such tendencies strongly.
The meeting was called by the main opposition CPN (Maoist Center).
After the meeting, Maoist Centre Deputy General Secretary Barsha Man Pun urged the government to call the winter session of parliament as soon as possible. “The government should address people’s demands through Parliament. If the government continues to bypass Parliament, we will demand a special session,” he added.
Leaders of Rastriya Swatantra Party, CPN (Unified Socialist) and Nepal Samajbadi Party, among others, participated in the meeting.
