KATHMANDU: Five ambassadors to different countries were sworn in on Monday.
President Ram Chandra Paudel administered the oath of office and secrecy to Janga Bahadur Chauhan (Russia), Chandra Kumar Ghimire (United Kingdom), Sanil Nepal (Spain), Dr Shivamaya Tumbahangphe (South Korea) and Dr Shankar Prasad Sharma (India) amid a ceremony at the Office of the President on Monday.
High-ranking government officials were present on the occasion.
The cabinet meeting on Jul 29 recommended new ambassadors, including these five, to different countries. The Public Hearing Committee of parliament endorsed their recommendations on September 19.
