POKHARA: The Kaski District Court has extended the remand for Rastriya Swatantra Party President (RSP) Rabi Lamichhane by another four days.
A single bench of District Judge Himlal Belbase issued the order on Tuesday.
This means Lamichhane will remain in custody until Friday. Since police have already submitted their investigation report to the District Government Attorney’s Office, prosecutors are expected to file a charge sheet against him by that time.
Along with Lamichhane, the remand for Gorkha Media Network’s former vice chairperson Chhabi Lal Joshi, Ram Bahadur Khanal, Lila Pachhai and Krishna Gurung has already been extended by four days.
Police are investigating alleged role of these five individuals in the transfer of deposits from Suryadarshan Saving & Cooperatives into Gorkha Media Newtwork.
