UML’s Rebati Raman Bhandari sworn in as Koshi minister

ITAHARI: Rebati Raman Bhandari of CPN-UML has been appointed as the Minister for Intrnal Affairs and Law of the Koshi Province Government.

Province Chief Parshuram Khapung appointed Bhandari to the position on the recommendation of Chief Minister Hikmat Karki. Province Chief Khapung administered the oath of office and secrecy to Bhandari on Monday evening.

Bhandari was elected to the Koshi Province Assembly from the Sunsari-2(A) constituency. He was serving as the Chief Whip of UML in the Koshi Province Assembly.

The position became vacant following the resignation of Lila Ballabh Adhikari over human trafficking allegations. Although Adhikari was arrested by police for investigation, the District Government Attorney’s Office, Kathmandu, decided against filing a case against him.
