KATHMANDU: Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has left for China.
Rana embarked on her first China visit since assuming the office at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Thursday afternoon at the invitation of her counterpart Wang Yi. She will hold bilateral meetings with Yi on Friday.
Acting Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai and other officials of the ministry saw off Rana at the Tribhuvan International Airport.
The visit is being seen as the preparation for Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli’s upcoming China visit.
Oli is beginning his three-day official visit to China on December 2.
