KATHMANDU: Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has decided to reinstate power supply to 28 industries.
A meeting of the utility’s board of directors took the decision on Tuesday. The cabinet meeting held on Monday had directed the energy ministry to restore power supply to these industries within 24 hours and recover any outstanding dues within 15 days based on Time-of-Day (TOD) meter data.
The NEA had cut off power to these industries on October 24 due to unpaid bills for electricity supplied through dedicated feeders and trunk lines.
