DCFC hosting 36th ACSIC Conference in Kathmandu

KATHMANDU: The 36th Asian Credit Supplementation Institution Confederation (ACSIC) Conference is kicking off in Kathmandu on Friday.

The four-day event, which is being hosted by the Deposit and Credit Guarantee Fund (DCGF), will feature discussions on a wide range of topics, including financial innovations in banking and financial institutions, the role of credit guarantees in economic growth, risk management in financial institutions, and regional cooperation in financial stability.

Representatives from 17 credit guarantee institutions across 12 Asian countries are participating in the conference, according to the DCGF.

The conference will see panel discussions and plenary sessions on a wide range of themes such as “Unlocking Opportunities in Financing Innovations: The Role of Credit Guarantees,” “Bridging the Financial Gap in Asia: The Role of Innovations & Credit Guarantee Institutions,” “Asian Best Practices for Innovative Financing,” “Unlocking Solutions Beyond Borders,” “Striking a Balance: Pricing Strategies for Financing Innovations, Managing Risk, and Revenue,” “Charting the Course: Managing Risks in Financing Innovation,” “Designing Sustainable Guarantee Programs Amidst Uncertainties,” and “Innovative Solutions: Financing for Nature.”

Representatives from Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Papua New Guinea, India, Mongolia and Cambodia are participating in the conference.
