KATHMANDU: Deputy prime ministers, ministers and chief secretary have signed performance contracts with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, outlining major tasks to be undertaken and expected achievements in the current fiscal year.
The deputy prime ministers, ministers and chief secretary signed and exchanged performance contracts with Prime Minister Oli at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers on Thursday.
The performance contracts include key tasks and expected achievements for the first 100 days of government formation (by November 22, 2024); the second 100 days (by February 1, 2025); and the remaining period of the fiscal year (mid-July, 2025).
The Deputy Ministers and ministers will now sign similar performance contracts with their respective secretaries.
The practice of signing a performance contract was initiated during Oli’s previous term as Prime Minister.
Oli will sign performance contracts with Minsiter for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Badri Prasad Pandey, Minister for Forest and Environment Ain Bahadur Shahi, and Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Ajaya Kumar Chaurasia, who are currently out of the country, later on, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
