KATHMANDU: Ambassador of the United Kingdom to Nepal, Rob Fenn, paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Tuesday.
The meeting focused on discussions about mutual relations and interests between the two countries, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat.
Prime Minister Oli stated that the government is prioritizing the strengthening of Nepal’s federalism and democracy, increasing youth participation in development and policy-making, and achieving sustainable development goals. He added that the government was actively working towards fulfilling the national aspiration of “Prosperous Nepal, Happy Nepali.”
Likewise, Ambassador Fenn expressed satisfaction with the political consensus on transitional justice laws. He assured that the UK government would continue supporting Nepal’s development, good governance, and strengthening of federalism.
Ambassador Fenn also expressed commitment to assist Nepali businesses in exporting goods to the UK.
