KATHMANDU: Dr Ratna Bahadur Bagchand has been recommended for appointment as Chief Judge of Pokhara High Court.
A meeting of the Judicial Council held on Friday took the decision.
He is currently serving as the Judge of Birgunj Temporary Bench of Janakpur High Court.
Likewise, the meeting also made a recommendation for the transfer of High Court Judge Rajan Prasad Bhattarai from Patan High Court to the Bigunj Temporary Bench of the Janakpur High Court. Bhattarai was also serving as the Chairperson of the Revenue Tribunal, Pokhara. According to the council, Sudarshan Raj Pandey will now head the tribunal.
The meeting also made recommendations for the appointment of judges in 35 districts. Likewise, it has also recommended for the transfer of 21 district court judges.
