Petrol price up by Rs 4 per liter; diesel and kerosene also dearer

KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has raised the prices of petrol by Rs 4 per liter, and diesel and kerosene by Rs 3 per liter each.

Issuing a statement on Monday, the NOC said the prices of petroleum products have been revised as per the new rates forwarded by its sole supplier, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). IOC forwards new prices to NOC every fortnight.

With the latest revision, petrol will retail at Rs 171 per liter in the Kathmandu Valley, while diesel and kerosene will be available for Rs 160 per liter.

The new rates will come into effect from Monday midnight.
