Pakistan envoy inaugurates Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park

KATHMANDU: Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H Hashmi, on Friday attended the inauguration of ‘Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park’ at Budhanilkantha Municipality-8 of Kathmandu.

Budhanilkantha Municipality’s Deputy Mayor Anita Lama; Ward-8 Chairperson Suman Tamang and Senior Administrative Officer Tulsi Ram Aryal and Lion Governor Hari Prasad Dahal attended the inauguration ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador Hashmi appreciated the partnership with Budhanilkantha Municipality, Lions Club of Kathmandu and HRS Adventures Ltd for the execution of Pakistan-Nepal Friendship Park. He also extended his deepest appreciation to the community workers, social workers and all those who have supported this initiative.

“This park stands as a symbol of the enduring friendship between the two nations and reflects the strong bonds that exist between the people of Pakistan and Nepal,” he said, adding: “Our bilateral relations are built on a foundation of trust, and mutual respect and embedded in cultural exchanges, and collaborative efforts in various fields including education, health, environment and medicine. This reflects our commitment to working together for the betterment of humanity.”

Addressing the event, other speakers thanked the Government of Pakistan for gifting the people of Nepal the ‘Open Air Gym’ facility. They also expressed their hope that the park will serve as a sign of lasting friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
