KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa has said that representation in the National Assembly as envisaged by the constitution has not been achieved.
Speaking at a program in Kathmandu on Wednesday, Thapa said that although the constitution envisions the representation of experts in the upper house, this has not materialized. “Our constitution envisions the representation of individuals who have gained experience in various sectors and professions. However, this hasn’t happened,” Thapa said.
He also said that the country was not facing a difficult political situation as periodic elections are being held regularly as envisaged in the constitution.
