CHENGDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, who is on an official visit to China since September 23, arrived in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan Province, on Friday. Dahal arrived in Chengdu from Lhasa in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China.
Upon his arrival in Chengdu, the Prime Minister was warmly welcomed by the Vice Governor of Sichuan Province Yang Xingping and other dignitaries.
During his stay in Chengdu, the Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. He is also set to hold a bilateral meeting with Wang Xiaohui, Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee later on Friday. Dahal will also attend a dinner hosted by Wang in his honor.
Dahal visited Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region on Thursday. During his stay in Lhasa, he held bilateral talks with different Chinese officials. Additionally, he visited the historic Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister and his delegation are scheduled to return home from Chengdu on Saturday.
