LHASA: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal arrived in Lhasa, the capital of Tibet Autonomous Region of China that shares its border with Nepal, on Wednesday today as part of his official visit to China. The Prime Minister commenced his official visit to the northern neighbor on September 23.
Dahal arrived in Tibet from Chongqing, China, at 12:00 noon local time. Upon his arrival at Lhasa Gonggar Airport, the Prime Minister was welcomed by officials from the Tibetan government, led by its executive vice president.
While in Lhasa, the Prime Minister will participate in an interaction organized at the Office of the Consul General of Nepal. He is also scheduled to visit the Potala Palace in Tibet and the Jokhang Temple on Wednesday itself.
He is also scheduled to hold a bilateral meeting with Wang Junzheng, secretary of the CPC Xizang Autonomous Regional Committee.
Dahal is accompanied by Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud, Minister for Water Supply Mahindra Raya Yadav and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Prakash Jwala, among others.
