KATHMANDU: Nepal’s leading business conglomerate Chaudhary Group (CG) has announced a strategic partnership with Adani Group’s Cement Business. This collaboration aims to enhance regional development by ensuring the efficient supply of cement to neighboring Indian states.
The two business conglomerates have signed a memorandum of understanding to formalize this strategic partnership, a statement issued by the group on Thursday said.
The details about the partnership, however, have not been made public.
“This collaborative effort stands as a pivotal milestone, underlining our commitment to augmenting economic cooperation and trade relations between the two nations. Through this strategic
collaboration, we aspire to fortify the harmonious rapport that characterizes the Nepal-India relationship, while actively contributing to the growth and development of the adjoining states,” Varun Chaudhary, managing director of Chaudhary Group, said in the statement.
According to the statement, the partnership reflects the shared vision of the Chaudhary Group and Adani Group’s Cement Business. “Together, they are embarking on a journey of mutual growth and benefit, creating a positive impact that fosters greater economic synergy. Their commitment is aligned with a future of progress, prosperity, and enhanced bilateral relations, reflecting their common values and aspirations,” it added.
