KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) decided to postpone its nationwide ‘NC in Community’ campaign.
The central working committee of the party had set out plans to conduct this two-week initiative from August 27, with the primary goal of strengthening the party’s organizational structure.
However, the party’s office-bearers reached a consensus to postpone the campaign during a meeting held at the residence of party President Sher Bahadur Deuba on Tuesday.
This program had already been incorporated into the party’s annual calendar.
“The ‘NC in Community’ nationwide campaign has been postponed for the time being,” confirmed Krishna Prasad Poudel, Chief Secretary of the NC Office. “Given the ongoing House session, the participation of lawmakers would be limited if the campaign proceeded as initially scheduled. Moreover, considering unfavorable weather conditions, the party has opted to reschedule the campaign for the time being.”
