DHANGADHI: The Sudurpashchim Province Government has prioritized agriculture sector in its policies and programs for the upcoming fiscal year 2023/24.
Province Chief Devraj Joshi presented the policies and programs document at the meeting of the Sudurpashchim Province Assembly on Wednesday.
The provincial government has announced plans to provide interest-free loans to people involved in commercial farming. Likewise, the provincial government has said that Kolti Hospital in Bajura, Gokuleshwar Hospital in Darchula, Jogbudha Hospital in Dadeldhura, and Lamki Chuha Hospital in Kailali would be upgraded into province-level hospitals.
Similarly, the provincial government has stated that it will study the feasibility of starting a monorail service between Dhangadhi and the provincial capital, Godawari. The plan to start a monorail service has been introduced at a time when the provincial government is struggling to initiate even a province-wide bus service.
Furthermore, the provincial government has unveiled plans to build multipurpose stadiums in Achham, Baitadi, Kailali, and Kanchanpur.
Similarly, the provincial government has continued the ‘Hello CM’ program, a grievance-hearing mechanism.
