KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal has requested Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to resolve the border issue between the two countries through bilateral mechanisms.
Informing the House of Representatives about his recent visit to India, Dahal claimed that it was the first time that the Indian Prime Minister expressed clear views about the border issues. “Modi said that all existing problems, including the border issues, between the two countries will be resolved,” Dahal said.
“We had serious discussions about the border issues. I have requested the Indian Prime Minister to resolve the issues through bilateral mechanisms. He clearly stated in the joint press meeting that all issues, including border issues, will be resolved,” he said. “This is the first positive statement from the Indian Prime Minister about the border issue after a long time,” he claimed.
