KATHMANDU: The government has lifted restrictions on land plotting.
A cabinet meeting held on Tuesday took the decision, according to Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma.
The cabinet approved the first amendment to Land Use Regulations, 2022. This means all restrictions on land plotting have been lifted, she added.
The cabinet approved the amendment to facilitate sharing of parental property as well as the plotting of land, according to Sharma.
The meeting also formed a committee under Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Defence Purna Bahadur Khadka to make needful suggestions for resolving disputes in land acquisition for the Kathmandu-Tarai/Madhesh Fast Track Road Project in Khokana of Lalitpur.
The committee has been given three months to complete its work.
