Murarka Group, Somany forms joint venture to manufacture tiles

KATHMANDU: Murarka Group has formed a joint venture with India’s Somany Ceramics to establish a tile manufacturing facility in Nepal. The joint venture announcement was made amid an event in Kathmandu on Monday.

The facility will have an annual capacity of around 3 million square meters.

Speaking about the collaboration, Pashupati Murarka, managing director of Murarka Group said Murarka Group has always been committed to providing quality products and services to its customers. “This collaboration will fulfil the need for quality and standard tiles in the Nepali market. It
will contribute to the economic upliftment of the country as well as create significant employment
opportunities,” he added.

Similarly, Abhishek Somany, Managing Director & CEO of Somany Ceramics, said Somany Ceramics was proud to collaborate with Murarka Group to introduce its range of tiles in the Nepali Market. “Somany Ceramics has been manufacturing high-standard quality tiles suitable for residential and industrial purposes all over the world and I hope it will set a benchmark of standard in the Nepali
Market as well,” he added.
