Young NC leaders oppose decision to support Dahal’s govt

KATHMANDU: Some Nepali Congress (NC) lawmakers have expressed objection to the party’s decision to give confidence vote to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal.

General secretary duo Gagan Kumar Thapa and Bishwa Prakash Sharma, and leaders Prakash Man Singh and Pradeep Poudel have expressed strong objections to party’s work performance committee’s decision to support Dahal’s government.

“One cannot stay in the opposition on moral and political grounds after giving a confidence vote. That is why I am against the decision,” Poudel said in the parliamentary party committee meeting.

Nepali Congress is the largest party in parliament with 89 seats.
