KATHMANDU: An exhibition of photographs, paintings, thankas, and calligraphy related to Nepal and China created over the past decade was organized in Kathmandu on Tuesday.
The exhibition was organized by the Confucius Institute of Tribhuvan University and supported by South Asia Network TV, Sahayogi Nepal, Overseas Chinese Association and Nepali Chinese Enterprises Association at the Nepal Arts Council Gallery in Babarmahal.
Various photographs, thankas, oil paintings, and calligraphy related to the art and culture of Nepal and China were displayed in the exhibition.
The exhibition was organized to deepen the cultural exchange between Nepal and China and to strengthen the friendship between the people of the two countries, according to the organizers.
Speaking at the program, Director (Nepal) of the Confucius Institute of Tribhuvan University Professor Balmukunda Regmi, Professor Shivalal Bhusal, Director (China) of Confucius Institute of Tribhuvan University Qin Gao, President of Nepal Overseas Chinese Association Jin Xiaodong and General Secretary of Nepali Chinese Enterprises Association Zhu Qing, among others, said the program will help to build and further strengthen cultural exchanges between the two countries.
