KATHMANDU: A group of 50 Nepali officials has departed for India to participate in a five-day training on natural farming.
According to the Embassy of India in Kathmandu, the training will be held at Gurukul in Kurukshetra until October 3 and is fully sponsored by the Government of India.
This is the third batch of Nepali officials participating in the program. The first and second batches completed their training in September 2023 and August 2025, respectively.
The training program is part of India’s initiative to strengthen capacity building and knowledge sharing in natural and sustainable farming practices, the embassy said in a statement.
The participants will receive practical exposure to natural farming techniques and have an opportunity to exchange experiences and best practices in sustainable agriculture, it said.
The initiative reflects the longstanding partnership between Nepal and India in the agriculture sector and the shared commitment of the two countries in promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible farming practices.
