KATHMANDU: Thirty-four out of 37 individuals, who were injured in a road accident near Baireni on the Prithvi Highway in Dhading at around 11:30 pm on Monday, are receiving treatment at different hospitals in Kathmandu.
According to the District Police Office, Dhading, the incident occurred when a passenger bus heading to Chitwan from Kathmandu rammed into a stationary truck, and the bus was hit by another bus heading to Birgunj from Kathmandu.
“The injured passengers received initial treatment at Biareni Hospital and Smarika Hospital. Three were discharged after first aid, while the remaining 34 were referred to Kathmandu,” Dhading police said in a statement.
Nineteen of them are receiving treatment at the National Trauma Center, nine at the TU Teaching Hospital and the remaining six at other hospitals.
Police have taken the drivers of all three vehicles under control for necessary investigation.
