27 recommended for appointment as High Court Judge [With List]

KATHMANDU: The Judicial Council has recommended 27 judges, advocates and officials of judicial service for appointment as High Court Judges.

Eighteen of those recommended are district court judges, while six are advocates. Similarly, one each has been recommended from law, government attorney, judicial administration group of the civil service.

Deputy Attorney General Shyam Kumar Bhattarai has been ranked at the top of the recommendation list, followed by 18 district court judges.

Joint Registrar of the Supreme Court Narayan Prasad Regmi is in the 21st position in the list, while Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Sushil Koirala is in the 22nd position.

They will be appointed to the post by Chief Justice Bishwambar Prasad Shrestha.
