KATHMANDU: Yogesh Gauchan Thakali of Nepali Congress (NC) has been reelected to the House of Representatives from Mustang.
According to the District Election Office, counting of votes has been completed in Mustang. The Himalayan district has only one constituency.
Gauchan received 3,307 votes. His closest contender, Indradhara Dadu Bista of CPN-UML, got 1,806 votes, while Rastriya Swatantra Party’s Adhitiya Chandra Thakali secured 759 votes.
The formal announcement, however, has not been made yet.
Gauchan was elected in 2022 by receiving 3,992 votes.
