Yeti Airlines plane crashes near Pokhara Airport

KATHMANDU: An ATR 72 aircraft of Yeti Airlines crashed near Pokhara International Airport on Sunday morning.

Eyewitnesses say the aircraft crashed at the Seti River gorge just before land and caught fire, according to Tek Bahadur KC, Chief District Officer of Kaski. The aircraft left Kathmandu at 10:33 am.

There are 68 passengers and four crew members on board the aircraft. Rescue work is underway.
