KATHMANDU: Upendra Yadav-led Janata Samajbadi Party, Nepal (JSP Nepal) has faced another split.
A faction led by Khagendra Makhim, a member of the Political Committee of JSP Nepal, on Thursday announced the formation of Pachinbadi Morcha (Pro-Identity Front). Prof Dr Mahendra Lawati has been named the coordinator of the Pachinbadi Morcha.
Makhim-led Federal Limbuwan Party had unified with JSP Nepal in 2017.
Leaders of the splitting faction have accused the party leadership of involving in power politics, adopting non-political behavior and neglecting the pro-identity campaign.
A faction of JSP Nepal, led by party Vice Chairperson Ashok Kumar Rai, split from the party and registered Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) with the Election Commission on Sunday.
