KATHMANDU: Janata Samajwadi Party, Nepal (JSP Nepal) has appealed to leaders and cadres who left the party to join a different party to return to the party fold.
Issuing a statement on Friday, JSP Nepal Chairperson Upendra Yadav requested leaders and cadres who have joined the new party led by Ashok Kumar Rai to return.
“The JSP Nepal is a party with a distinct ideology, principles, and agenda. As the party working for the liberation of oppressed nationalities, and promoting mutual respect and unity between the mountain, hills, and Tarai regions, JSP Nepal is aware of its historic responsibilities. We cordially appeal to those comrades who mistakenly joined another party to abandon the wrong path and return to the party,” Yadav said in the statement.
A faction of JSP Nepal has registered Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP) with the Election Commission.
Yadav has filed a petition at the apex court, claiming that the formation of the new party is unconstitutional.
