KATHMANDU: The government has decided to reward players, who finished second in the CAVA Women Nations Volleyball League, with a cash prize of Rs 300,000 each.
A cabinet meeting held on Thursday decided to provide Rs 300,000 each to 14 players, Rs 200,000 to Head Coach and Rs 120,000 to Assistant Coach and Physio.
Nepal suffered a 2-3 set defeat against India in the final played last week. However, Nepal registered its first-ever victory against India in women’s volleyball in the league stage.
Sri Lanka, the Maldives and Iran also played in the five-nation tournament.
