Woman held with fake notes worth Rs 771,000

JANAKPURDHAM: A woman was arrested by the District Police Office, Dhanusha, on Tuesday for possession of counterfeit currency worth over Rs 700,000.

Anu Kumari Sah from Bideshi Municipality-6 was found carrying counterfeit notes with a face value of Rs 771,000 in her bag, according to District Police Office, Dhanusha. The confiscated currency included fake 492 Rs 1,000 bills and 558 notes of Rs 500 bills.

Sah was caught with counterfeit notes during a surprise inspection by a patrol team from the Zeromile area of Dhanshuhadham on Tuesday.
