Woman arrested with counterfeit currency in Sunsari

ITAHARI:  Police have arrested a woman in possession of counterfeit currency from Harinagar Rural Municipality-7 in Sunsari district.

A joint team from the District Police Office, Sunsari, and the Area Police Office, Dewanganj, arrested Hajrul Khatun (31) on Wednesday. During a search of her house, police discovered 50 counterfeit 1,000-rupee notes hidden under her bed. Additionally, 100 tablets of the prohibited drug Nitrosun were seized.

According to the District Police Office, Sunsari, Khatun has been detained for investigation for possession of counterfeit currency and illegal drugs.
