Wedding party bus accident in Sindhupalchowk leaves three dead

KATHMANDU: Three people died, and 52 were injured when a passenger bus carrying a wedding party of over 55 people met with an accident at Dharabati of Sindhupalchowk on Friday morning.

The bus, which was heading from Dolakha to the bride’s house in Piskar of Sindhupalchowk, lost control and fell approximately 100 meters off the road at around 7:20 am, according to Police Station, Piskar.

The deceased have been identified as Shiva Shrestha (17) and Man Bahadur Thami (70) of Bhimeshwar-1 of Dolakha. The identity of a man around 18 years old is yet to be ascertained.

Seven seriously injured passengers are receiving treatment at Sadabahar Lamosanghu Hospital, while the other 45 injured are receiving treatment at a local health post.
