ITAHARI: Expressing dissatisfaction with the working style of Mayor Harka Sampang, the ward chairpersons of Dharan Sub-metropolitan City have threatened to launch a protest.
The majority of ward chairpersons criticized Sampang for taking unilateral decisions without consulting them, disregarding projects proposed by a majority of chairpersons, giving discretionary authority to staffers of his personal secretariat, and humiliating service seekers, among other issues.
In a joint statement, the ward chairpersons said that Mayor Sambang undervalued them by issuing instructions to them using the letterhead of his personal secretary, Sudarshan Limbu.
