KATHMANDU: Voting for the new leadership of the CPN-UML, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday, has been postponed until Wednesday.

Although voting was originally planned for this evening, the party’s Central Election Commission postponed it at the last minute, citing a technical problem.

Voting will now be held at 8 am on Wednesday.

A total of 2,263 delegates have arrived in Kathmandu to elect the party’s new leadership. They had been queuing for two hours ahead of the scheduled voting time of 9 pm.

The Central Election Commission had originally set the voting time at 10 am on Tuesday.
